It's hard to believe that Summer is almost over. It seems like time is flying by at an accelerated speed lately. Well, I'm looking forward to Autumn, as always. (And, our San Franciscan Indian Summer, come to think of it.)

These past few months have been busy and creative ones. I've made a whole lot of new jewelry designs, new papercuts and paintings. So, therefore there's been a lot of updates and announcements on this blog! :)
Tonight I have one more update to share with you: some new lockets, pendants, bracelets and brooches which found their place in my second shop on Etsy. Hello!
I have a new papercut to share with you today. For a while now I've had lots of requests to create an Alice in Wonderlan Papercut, so finally, a few days ago I finally found time to do it!
So, here it is...

I'm very pleased how the papercut turned out. Seeing Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum peeking out from behind the tree makes me smile every time I look at it.

The Love Story Bracelet was created using prints of my papercut images set under clear cabochon domes, size 3/4" x 1/2" each, an antiqued silver-plated bracelet base, and a delicate heart charm that dangles from the clasp. This special piece is 7.5 inches long (standard bracelet length) and comes with a certificate of authenticity in a gift box.

I recently discovered some vintage chicken & rooster illustrations that are truly wonderful. I've always loved vintage bird illustrations, but these ones are particularly appealing. Chickens, crazy, right? Who wants chickens on their walls? These, from Sushipot Parts shop on Etsy not only are really adorable... but the prints also come in boy/girl pairs. So, why don't you hope over here and get yourself a male and a female...

While browsing through my inspiration folder I noticed that there's been a certain theme building in there. I've been collecting images of women in profile, in black and white, or from the front but with just half of their face showing. What is the fascination? I'm sure I will have to dig into my psyche to figure this one out. One day, perhaps. For now, I will enjoy these images simply, innocently, visually. A study of a woman in profile and in black and white...

I love my "puzzle" Rajasthani bracelet, given to me by my husband Terry. He has such great taste in jewelry. And after living in India for a long time and having dealt with jewelry he knew right away when he saw a really special piece. It's such a unique design, showcasing amazing craftsmanship.
The bracelet is composed of numerous zig-zag silver pieces that fall together perfectly and are held together by a piece of strong woven thread on the top and bottom of the bracelet, best seen here...
The bracelet is just so pliable and flexible and feels wonderful on my wrist...
I've never seen one like it, but, while researching Rajasthani bracelets I stumbled onto a bracelet which is the closest I could find to what I have. The workmanship looks very similar to me...
Beautiful! This bracelet is still available at Cose Cosi. Quite pricey though!
